Recap: Qlik AI Reality Tour 2025 in Berlin

Innovation, data in action, and real-world insights — that perfectly sums up the Qlik AI Reality Tour held on September 17 and 18 in Berlin. Together with the Qlik community, our partners, and customers, we experienced two inspiring days full of use cases, knowledge sharing, and lively discussions.

An Exclusive Kick-Off at KST

The evening before the main event, KST Kraftwerks- und Spezialteile GmbH opened its doors for an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at its Qlik environment. Right on the shop floor, participants saw how Qlik optimizes processes, creates transparency, and relieves employees in their daily work.Data in action — it doesn’t get more practical than this.

Qlik AI Reality Tour – Spotlight on Data Strategy and Real Use Cases

The conference day began with a welcome by Achim Gnadt and Sebastian Nädtke, followed by a series of inspiring sessions:

  • Qlik 360°: Sebastian Nädtke and Sebastian Grüber demonstrated how the EBK Group uses Qlik and Data+ to digitalize processes — from time tracking to production control.

  • Qlik Talend Cloud & Data Warehouse: Steffen Bischoff (Qlik) showed why Qlik is more than just a BI tool — and how Talend Cloud elevates data strategy to a new level.

  • AI Reality Check: With Paul Kühne, we explored how Machine Learning and Generative AI already deliver real value in Qlik — from football transfer market analysis to financial planning.

A highlight for many attendees was the guided tour through EBK’s production facilities, where they witnessed first-hand how data integration drives efficiency in manufacturing.

Afternoon: Customer Insights & Data+ Deep Dive

After lunch, the focus shifted to customer success stories and project highlights:

  • Christian Polle (Berlin Recycling) shared how Qlik & Data+ are transforming processes in the recycling industry.

  • Insights into financial planning and integrated resource and capacity management showed the broad applicability of Qlik & Data+ across departments.

The event concluded with a Data+ Deep Dive, featuring a live demonstration of how our extension suite enables structured Excel imports, writeback, and collaborative planning directly in Qlik — making Data+ a true alternative to specialized software solutions.
