In this example, we assign individual colors to sales representatives to improve visual clarity in our worksheet. With the Data+ Table and the Color Picker input, users can define colors directly in the app – fully integrated and database-backed.
Step-by-Step Implementation
Create a new Data+ Table– Linked to a custom table named sales_rep_details containing employee info
Add columns– Row identifier: Sales Rep ID– Additional info: Sales Rep Name– Input: Color Picker, linked to the database field “color”
Pick & save colors– Choose your colors via the picker and save them directly from the interface
Load color data into Qlik– Use the data load editor to connect to the table, rename fields as needed, and reload the app
Apply colors in charts– In the appearance settings, activate manual color mode and use the color field to define chart visuals
